All-on-4® dental implants give you a complete set of gleaming teeth in just one day. This revolutionary dental solution is more cost-effective than traditional dental implants. If you’ve lost most or all of your teeth on your upper or lower arches due to injury, decay, or aging, All-on-4 dental implants could be for you.

At Nassau Dental Spa, our expert dental team offers multiple types of dental implants, including All-on-4

What are All-on-4® dental implants?

Traditional dental implants require an individual implant for each missing tooth. All-on-4 dental implants only need four strategic implants to support a full set of dentures.

Each implant is strategically placed in the strongest bone in your mouth—your jawbone. Next, the dentures or bridges attach to the implants. The result: A permanent replacement for your missing teeth.

Are you a good candidate for All-on-4 dental implants?

Anyone who’s lost most or all of their teeth on the upper or lower level and would like a permanent solution could be a good candidate. However, you do need to meet a few criteria for dental implants as follows:

1. Healthy mouth

Good oral health is a requirement. If you have cavities, gum disease, or any other problems in your mouth, those need to be addressed before you can consider dental implants.

2. Strong jawbone

Since dental implants are mounted to the jawbone, there must be enough bone density. If there isn’t, bone grafting or other options may need to be considered before dental implants. However, All-on-4 requires less bone density than others, which can eliminate the need for bone grafting.

3. Good health

While All-on-4 implants are less invasive than other forms of implants, they require surgery and, therefore, anesthesia. Our team will evaluate your medical history to ensure you’re healthy enough.

4. Commitment to good oral hygiene

Once you have your new smile, you’ll want to commit to daily brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits to maintain it.

What can you expect with All-on-4 implants?

There’s a process for evaluating and receiving these dental implants. Read on to see if you may be a good candidate.

1. Evaluation

Our dental team will examine your mouth, take X-rays, and discuss your dental history and goals. Then, we’ll recommend a customized treatment plan. It’ll include the number of implants needed and where they’ll go, and we’ll answer all your questions. Then, you’ll make an appointment for the procedure.

2. Implant procedure

You’ll receive anesthesia to keep you comfortable. Once you’re relaxed, your dentist will place the implants in your empty tooth sockets and will send you home with a full set of gleaming teeth. Most people adjust to their implants within a week.

3. Less time and cost

Because All-on-4 dental implants use fewer implants and can be installed in one visit, there are fewer visits and implants required. This keeps the costs down. Additionally, it reduces your recovery time.
